The shelf is a hollow-construction, 3-sided U-style beam, crafted from a composite that is impervious to decay, insect infestation, water damage, warping, splitting or cracking. To best capture the natural and imperfect appearance of real wood, each shelf is cast from molds that were created from real wood. Each mantel is hand painted and recreates the natural coloring of stained and/or painted wood.
